When the winter arrives, it's important to pay extra attention to your system. A properly maintained window cleaning system with Hotwater ensures optimal operational reliability without worries.
Pay special attention to the following:
Battery maintenance: It is crucial to maintain the battery voltage above 10.5 volts to prevent system breakdowns. We recommend regular maintenance of the battery voltage with a suitable charger and to charge the battery when the voltage reaches around 11 volts, especially daily during cold periods.
Note: Repeated start attempts with a voltage below 10.5 volts may result in a fault condition in Hotwater. In case of a fault, we offer service and system checks at our workshop or through our scandinavian service partners. Contact us for further information and pricing.
Frost protection setting: Purewash Hotwater is equipped with automatic frost protection, which activates a built-in heater fan when the temperature approaches freezing. This is an energy-efficient solution that avoids the need for constant operation. See the standard thermostat setting in Figure 1.
During prolonged frost periods, it may be advantageous to adjust the thermostat clockwise for earlier activation of the frost protection. This can be particularly beneficial for larger cargo spaces or during extended cold periods. The adjustment is simple and is done behind the service cover. We recommend returning to the standard setting outside of these periods to save power and fuel.
Water circulation: In freezing conditions, the hose from the hose reel should be connected to the coupling on the washing facility's lid, and the flow controller should be activated with low water flow. This ensures constant water circulation, warms the hoses under the system (when set to Frost Protection), and protects the system from freezing. We recommend connecting a battery charger when using this solution.
